Fellowship Team - Building Relationships in Christ’s Love
…but if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 Jn. 1:7)

Mission Statement– To help build and strengthen the current relationships within our church and each other along with creating new relationships within our church family.

Our team's goal is to see more members involved in the events and activities that are planned. We would also like to start putting together a weekend retreat for our members and we will be putting together a separate team of people that will be dedicated to this mission. The fellowship team always is welcoming new team members and we are always open to new ideas and suggestions. The fellowship team currently includes: Lisa Fetterman, Chris Vogelei, LeeAnn Genzano, Kathy Berkowsky, Kathy Repici

Welcome Team

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2

Mission Statement is to welcome all members and new visitors to our church family. Our mission is to make everyone feel at home here at Friendship Community Church.
Our goals are to greet everyone entering our doors for Sunday services as well as special services throughout the year and to deliver FCC mugs to recent visitors. Greeters are assigned a schedule of services and are responsible for making all members and potential members to feel welcome and warmly received. Mugs are assembled and delivered filled with candy. They are given to visitors who have filled out a visitor card, and are given to them personally at the end of the service.

Anyone interested in joining this team can contact Teresa Romeo for more information.

Christian Education

"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:6

Mission Statement: To teach the Good News of the gospel and share God’s love through friendship.

Our Christian Education goals are to help children discover Bible stories, to help all seekers grow in their faith and to provide activities for believers to serve one another, their community and the world beyond their own. We believe in the Holy Spirit to inspire us and help us in studying the life of Jesus Christ. We provide Sunday School education to both children and adults; provide leadership and lessons for young children during Sunday worship; coordinate with our Mission Team, Worship Team and Choir director to provide children with additional opportunities to share God's love with others. We also plan and carry out our church's Vacation Bible School program and we also have a library of print and visual resources for everyone to borrow. We are currently seeking junior high youth and adults to participate in and lead a junior high youth group.

Melissa Bishop and Peggy McDaniels are the team leaders.

Worship Team

"Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing." Psalm 100:3

Mission Statement: Christian Worship ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God. In worship the people of God acknowledge God presence in the world and their lives. As they respond to God's claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed. In worship the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God's service in the world.

The Worship Team coordinates special services, prepares scripture readers, directs music for worship, prepare elements for Holy Communion and oversees our Lessons for Young Christians program.

It is our desire and our prayers that we, the worship team continue to present the resurrected Christ to believers and unbelievers, and to the churched and unchurched.

Linda Mitchell is the Worship Team Leader

Stewardship Team

Peter 4:10 “ Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”

Mission Statement: Our mission is to assist and educate our congregation in the Stewardship of all that God has entrusted to us, to manage our gifts in order to support FCC’S mission.

The main function of the Stewardship Team is to manage and administer the finances of the Church. Just as households need to know how much money they have to manage, work with, and spend, so does the Church. The Team works to assist with raising money, managing and controlling expenses, and maintaining and balancing the budget. Armando Romeo is the leader of this team.
